Lax is just plain fun.

U14 AYLC girls at the 2022 Witches Brew

Fast, fun, friendships – these are recurring reasons our players have that keep them returning to the Auburn Youth Lacrosse Club. Called the ‘fastest game on two feet’ while also being the fastest growing youth sport in America, ‘fast’ is a spot-on descriptor. Auburn Youth Lacrosse prides itself on not only cultivating strong lacrosse players, but on creating young leaders, committed teammates, and excited families.

Fall ball has ignited the lax fire in some new athletes while adding fuel to our returning athletes. Our teams have been working hard to prepare for tournaments this fall. We have AYLC teams participating in the Southern Edge Witches Brew 7v7 at the end of the month while some teams take to the beach in November for the Surf-N-Turf 7v7 in Ft. Walton.

2022 Fall Lacrosse Clinics Attract a Large Crowd

girls fall clinic 2022

This past Saturday, Auburn Youth Lacrosse Club hosted their annual free fall lacrosse clinics at Pick Elementary. With over 125 athletes in attendance, the clinics were a rousing success. The girls started the morning with sunshine and fun. Players and participants enganged in favorite drills such as “hungry-hungry hippo,” had a fastest-shot contest, and scrimmaged within their age levels.

This annual event serves as a great kick-off for our lacrosse year. Returning players look forward to reconnecting with friends and making new ones! The boys had the field in the afternoon. Joy and excitement could be found on all faces, new and old. They started with a dynamic warm-up and some introductory drills. Unfortunately the weather did not hold and the clinic was cut short.

All-in-all, we meet over 70 new faces this weekend. Thank you to everyone who came out to give lacrosse a try! We could not pull-off successful events like this one without the efforts of our many volunteers. A shout out to our AHS Varsity Girls who volunteered with both clinics. Thank you to Officer Rob Rich for providing our fastest shot competition. And a sweet thank you to Kona Ice for providing a treat after the hard work was finished.

Fall Registration closes September 5, 2022! Register Now.
