Auburn Youth Lacrosse Club (AYLC) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to grow the game of lacrosse in Auburn, provide a fun environment for players to learn the game, and prepare our players to play at the high school level and beyond. Last year the club had more than 190 players across 12 teams with over 25 volunteer coaches. As part of this mission, we need to raise money for field space, equipment, and scholarships for families who need assistance in paying fees and for equipment. Partnering with businesses, generous families and individuals in the community enables AYLC to provide these opportunities at reduced costs to our players.
AYLC Gives Back
The Auburn Youth Lacrosse Club participated in 34 hours of community service to give Moore Stadium a facelift the week of March 7. Over 50 AYLC athletes, coaches, and family members volunteered their time and talents during spring break to give our home stadium a refreshing scrub to allow for the safe use during our spring season. Not only did they pressure wash the stadium, athletes repainted the steps, cleaned the trash on the surrounding property, and repainted the field. We are grateful to the City of Opelika for allowing us to play our games at Moore Stadium. Kudos to these young athletes for helping to give back to their community.
